2024-2026 Exhibits & Events

I have relocated to Eugene, Oregon, to an apartment on the Willamette River near the Delta Ponds. My studio is located on Lincoln Alley in central Eugene.  I sometimes join up with the Plein Air Painters of Lane County; last fall I painted for a week on the Crooked River/Smith Rock in central Oregon. In May, 2026, eight new paintings are being exhibited at Studio 7 Gallery in west Eugene.

Welcome

I am happiest drawing or painting in nature … in the field, by the roadside, in a canoe, or in the back country … set up with gouache, oils or pastels. My approach is quick, on-site, “alla prima,” often done in one painting session.

Small sketchbooks accompany me wherever I go … full of studies in ink and colored pencil. I have developed several of my images into etchings.

I currently paint with oils or gouache (opaque watercolors) on brightly colored backgrounds for unexpected results.
