I am happiest drawing or painting in nature …
in the field … sitting on a boulder, fallen tree trunk, or canoe seat, or set up in the back country with gouache, pastels and oils.
Small sketchbooks are with
me wherever I go ... in these
I do quick sketches in ink
and colored pencil. I have developed several of my images into etchings. Am still on a roll with gouache and oil flower paintings.
